The book is an academic research, a contribution to the field of sociolinguistics, showing how language in association with the peoples´ culture impact on the society.It is written in a lucid and down-to- earth explanation. It is interdisciplinary as the title suggests.It portrays the pluralistic nature of the Nigerian society. It also corroborates that inscriptions on vehicles are more of doing things´ with words rather than mere entertainment as some would have us believe. The book also establishes that most of the inscriptions on bodies of vehicles contain element of what is old as in the culture of the people and elements of what is new as such cultures are depicted afresh on bodies of vehicles. By and large, the book speaks volume. It is a must-read again book for those in the area of sociolinguistics, popular culture and grammar.
