A fast-paced crime thriller where the Foreign Office Security Department are hot on the heels of a rogue killer. Will they stop him in time? Tony Caxton has been promoted to Deputy Director of the secretive Foreign Office Security Department. His first task is to investigate a series of seemingly random deaths. The only thing that the victims have in common is that they work for the Foreign Office. Soon it becomes clear that these deaths are murders and Tony is forced to turn to MI5 and MI6 for help. His assistant, Sue, has also been promoted and is doing her best to support the boss, both on and off duty. The perpertrator of these crimes is a former disgruntled FO worker who is convinced that there was a Masonic conspiracy to stall his promotion and he is dead set on revenge. His girlfriend is equally disenchanted with her lot and has decided to sell highly classified secrets to the Israelis. As more deaths are discovered, Tony is forced to lead a joint operation with the Security Services to trace and stop the killer before he can do any more damage. Time is running out fast for everyone in this fast-paced crime thriller.
