More wildly funny animal madness from dream team Julian Clary and David Roberts! The Boldsī family home is getting rather crowded with even more animal misfits, from a sheep that hates the outdoors to a crocodile who likes baths. What ever will they do?
More wildly funny animal madness from dream team Julian Clary and David Roberts!
The Bolds are a family of hyenas living as humans in a suburban house. But now their kindness to animal waifs and strays has become legendary, and more and more animals keep turning up to stay! Roger the sheep flocks to their house, and Fifi the poodle turns up to learn some new tricks, whilst Sheila the crocodile decides to stay for a while.
But when the Bolds take in a couple of race horses who are on the run, they worry their animal magnetism is getting to be too much. Have these hyenas bitten off more than they can chew?
"Wonderful illustrations bring this surreal tale to life and fans of Fizzlebert Stump will find much to love." Guardian, The Best New Childrenīs Books
Julian Clary (Author)
Julian Clary is a comedian, entertainer and novelist, who has toured across the world with his one-man shows. He became a household name in the late 1980s, and remains one of the countryīs most popular (and least predictable) entertainers. Julian has appeared on numerous popular TV shows including Celebrity Big Brother (which he won), Strictly Come Dancing, This Morning, QI, Have I Got News For You and is a regular panellist on BBC Radio 4īs Just a Minute. He has starred in West End productions of Taboo and Cabaret, and appears in panto most years - he loves wearing silly clothes and lots of make up! Julian also narrates the Little Princess childrenīs television series. He lives in London with his husband.

David Roberts (Illustrator)
David Roberts is an award-winning illustrator who has earned great acclaim for his distinctive style. He was born in Liverpool and studied fashion design at university in Manchester. After graduating, he worked as a milliner and a fashion illustrator, but always felt his true calling was in childrenīs books. David finally realised his dream when his first book was published in 1998, and since then he has collaborated with some of Britainīs finest childrenīs authors, including Julia Donaldson, Sally Gardner, Philip Ardagh and Jacqueline Wilson. He is also the creator of the popular Dirty Bertie books. He lives in London with his husband. He has been twice-shortlisted for the Kate Greenaway Medal, and in 2006 he won the Nestlé Childrenīs Book Prize Gold Award for his line drawings in Mouse Noses on Toast.
