This monograph is a little kaleidoscope which shows some aspects of Petrány´s special interest and raises some questions regarding the imputs what a contemporary dancer needs nowadays. She introduces the relationship of music and dance through different viewpoints, which might lead the readers to understand some hidden layers which this connection can provide. The main idea was to approach this topic from a practical side and to draw attention to the fact that nowadays dancers need to become much more diverse artists. Not only to fulfill the requirements of the market, but to stay innovative, creative and versatile personalities. Contemporary dancers - just like any other contemporary artists - effect arts as a whole, therefore it is their responsibility to think, work and create in a qualitative way. The work was based on the author´s own experiences, yet there are several big names who give great examples to those many ways of dealing with music, musicality and dance as a whole unity.
