Crowdfunding is a novel concept in which many individuals fund a project or venture without traditional intermediaries. In my research I analyze the dynamics and intelligence of the crowd involved in this novel form of (entrepreneurial) finance. The conclusions help to assess ways in which established organizations can benefit from crowdfunding. Interestingly enough, some possible applications are not necessarily motivated by raising funds.

Sebastian studied International Economic and Business Studies at University of Innsbruck and was awarded his M.A. in 2014. During this programme he engaged in an university exchange to Argentina and he completed an internship at SEAT S.A. in Spain. Sebastian is currently employed by Google Ireland, and is building a career in digital marketing.
