Content and Language Integrated Learning is one of the newest and most recent teaching methods, not only in Austria but all around Europe. It combines teaching a specific content and a language at the same time. This book outlines the inclusion of the youth literature "The Wave" in form of a CLIL course in a secondary school. While the first part of this book focuses on the theoretical framework of CLIL and the planning process of CLIL projects, the second, practice oriented part applies this knowledge by creating the CLIL course The (third) Wave and by conducting this project. Finally, the outcomes will be presented in the last chapter.
Mag. phil. Katharina Anna Kreuzer is an English and History teacher in Austria. She graduated from the Karl- Franzens University of Graz in 2016. During her studies she intensively focused her work on the topic of interdisciplinary teaching. This book is based on her diploma thesis in which she investigated CLIL .
