The book explains some of the foundations and basic philosophy of cooperatives and examines the evolution of the Uganda cooperative movement. it looks at aspects which make farming a business as well as benefits members can derive by undertaking collective marketing and bargaining, working together in Area cooperative Enterprises, by adding value to their products and practicing participatory planning, monitoring and evaluation.
