The book is about the use of local newspapers in the development process in Nigeria. The emphasis had always been to view development from the perspective of reportage by national newspapers. Alex Eloho Umuerri, PhD is a Senior Lecturer and Head, Department of Mass Communication, Benson Idahosa University Benin, Nigeria. He holds a Doctoral Degree in Communication from the Department of Communication and Language Arts, University of Ibadan, an MA Degree from the same institution and a BA Degree from the University of Jos, Nigeria.
