The diversification of pain in term of types and perceptions resulted into various prescriptions for its treatment. Some prescriptions produced lesser side effects; some produced serious side effects depending on the knowledge, skills and experience of the health practitioner. In order to improve prescription of pain medication there is need to computerize, standardize and interconnect all the three cornerstones of pain management, such as pain assessment, pain measurement and pain treatment taking into consideration the major barriers which include: age, subjectivity, interpretation and flexibility. The computerization of pain management in line with pain scoring system is a clear indication that computational medicine will play a key role towards advancing pain research and management. It is important to note that this book only serve as a guide for computerization of pain management. It makes emphasis on drug treatments, pain measurements, pain expressions and associated problems; hence adjuvant analgesics, non-drug treatments and drug dosages are not included. The Book Is The First Of Its Kind In The History Of Science.
