Die zweibändige Edition gibt für das Gebiet der Literatur- und Kulturwissen-schaft im Bereich Bohemistik Einblicke in den aktuellen Stand des Fachs. Dabei werden die Wissensbestände und die Reserven der Forschung zur Literatur und Kultur der Tschechischen Republik und der historischen Böhmischen Länder mit Blick auf Brennpunkte ausgelotet, die aus literatur- und kulturhistorischer Sicht für die Forschung und Lehre bedeutsam sind. Die Artikel führen in grundlegende Problemkomplexe ein, mit Schwerpunkt auf der Entwicklung von der Wende des 18./19. Jahrhunderts bis zur Gegenwart. Während der erste Band philologischen Fragestellungen einschließlich der Entwicklung von Stilforma-tionen, literari schen Gattungen und Aspekten der Intermedialität gewidmet ist, rückt der zweite kulturwissen schaftliche und kulturgeschichtliche Zusammen-hänge in den Fokus.

The articles explore the actual knowledge basis and scientific reserves for research on literature and culture of the Czech Republic and the historical Bohemian Countries. Their results are relevant both for research and scholarly teaching. The contributions address a set of problem complexes - with focus on the development from the turn of the 18th/19th century up to the present. While the first volume is dedicated to philological questions, including the development of stylistic forma tions, literary genres and some aspects of intermediality, the second volume concentrates on cultural and historical coherences.
