In June 2009, scholars from several European countries met in Lodz, Poland, at the Academy of International Studies (WSSM) in order to exchange their thoughts and the results of their research on intercultural communication in Europe in various fields of discourse.
This volume contains selected papers read at the conference and makes an intercultural and interdisciplinary contribution to this complex and topical theme. The publication links linguistic aspects with psychological, social, economic, political and cultural issues and creates a wide perspective encompassing the European heterogeneity of languages, cultures, traditions and developments.
