India has a long tradition of Mariculture from time immemorial and is a leader in the world after China. With a growing human population and a changing climate, there is an increasing threat to many ecosystems. Therefore give importance to identify the new or rare species and to measure their geographical extent. One of the new species is Squids. Squids comprise one of the most significant components of marine life. Squids are fast growing, and active predators with highly evolved and specialized qualities of great inherent interest.Squids represent a major fishery resource widely distributed throughout the oceans of the world. Of the several hundred species harvested around the world, only the Indian Squids have been of major commercial importance to exporting. Squids are one of the most valuable and highly priced crustaceans in India, as well as an important export commodity. The traditional approach to identifying the species and their relationships trained taxonomist presence is very significant. However such skilled experts sometimes are unavailable as well as a limited on financial resources. This leads to increasing interest to identifying the species automatically.
